Did you know?
Citrus fruits have been used for a very long time in perfumery, they even gave rise to the creation of Eaux de Cologne. Today, citrus fruits are key ingredients in natural perfumery and are also known as the hesperidia (citrus) family.
The aromas of the citrus family oscillate between bitterness, acidity and sweetness. They are made up of natural ingredients such as bergamot, lemon, orange and grapefruit and may include other elements of the orange tree such as petitgrain, the essential oil of orange blossom which is also known as neroli.
Characterised by their freshness and lightness, the organic essential oils of citrus fruits, extracted from citrus peels, are mainly used as a top note to conjure up the sweetness of a Mediterranean Garden.
Bergamot is a delicious blend of fruity and sweet notes, it is the natural essential oil of joy and good spirits.
